Few Answers to Indian Journalist Sunita Paul´s Article regarding Mrs. Faruk Khan & Shemul: Bangladesh
From the article, only the issue of the webmaster of Faruk Khan´s blog site has described here to draw attention of the readers.
Hasanuzzaman Talukder Shemul is a student of Civil Engineering Department of a private university in Bangladesh. He has a great interest in internet, web browsing and blog site development. He is also an editor, writer of some web-based articles. His writing proves that he is not good at English which a reporter of Weekly Blitz stated earlier in an article. Reading that article Mr. Shemul probably has started practicing English to be good at the subject. I thank that reporter for his comment/criticism on bearing wrong English in Shemul´s writing, which probably have helped Mr. Shemul to be careful in publishing any article especially in the matter of linguistic errors.
In the article titled "Faruk Khan´s wife violates law" on 13.04.2009 published in the ´American Chronicle´ Ms. Sunita Paul has stated:
"Moreover, one Hasanuzzaman Talukdar Shemul, who is the webmaster of Faruk Khan´s blog is entrusted by Mrs. Khan is giving arms training to the members of Hizb Ut Towhid. In the blog of Faruk Khan, his webmaster Hasanuzzaman Talikdar Shemul describes himself as an ´honest person´. It may be mentioned here that, in the same site, Faruk Khan is described as an ´excellent personality´.
Shemul spent two years in Bangladesh Navy and claims to have experience in handling small arms. It is curious enough as to why this man publicized his ´experience´ in ´handling small arms´ on website. There is no information on as to why Shemul was thrown out of Bangladesh Navy after two years or what he was doing inside Navy.
According to information, Shemul is entrusted by Mrs. Khan in giving training to the underground militias of Hizb Ut Towhid on operating small weapons and making various types of explosives. The notorious organization is reportedly creating a female suicide squad with the objective of future offensives on mainly Westerners."
I should not have the courage to say but I doubt whether this article was deeply reviewed by Ms. Sunita Paul herself before publishing? Because, so far as I know Ms. Sunita Paul has a very sharp intelligence and possesses a deeply foreseeing personality. Mr. Shemul is an ex-member of Bangladesh Navy. That´s why he has the experience of handling of small arms and it is known to every body that any member of Bangladesh defence force (Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Rifles, Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Air Force) has experience in handling small arms. Most probably he thought that mentioning all of his credentials and potentialities will enrich his profile. But being very young and fresh minded, he has never thought that mentioning all experiences and credentials may mislead any reporters/article writers and they may explain it otherwise (as Ms. Sunita Paul did).
Mr. Shemul can handle small arms and on the basis of it Ms. Sunita Paul has directly drawn his wise comment that he is giving arms training to the members of Hizb Ut Towhid. Does Ms. Sunita Paul believe all of the ex-members of Bangladesh defence force are involved with Islamic militancy and provide training to their members?
It has been mentioned in the article that Mr. Shemul is entrusted by Mrs. Khan in giving training to the underground militias of Hizb Ut Towhid on operating small weapons and making various types of explosives. It is to be mentioned here that till date Mr. Shemul has neither met nor talked to Mrs. Khan. Whatever the fact, Ms. Sunita Paul probably had wanted to hear it from somewhere and she considered it as her information.
Ms. Sunita Paul has expressed her eagerness to know what Shemul was doing inside Navy. Her inquisitive eagerness perhaps has persuaded herself that Mr. Shemul was engaged in something subversive to the state while he was in Bangladesh Navy. I earnestly want to request her to have an inquiry in proper channel to get her answers. Being an intelligent lady, Ms. Sunita Paul must have known that if any body is expelled from Bangladesh Navy or any other defence force for involvement in any activities against the state, s/he can´t lead a free life in the country let alone continuing study or engaging in any govt. service. As Ms. Sunita Paul knows many things about Mr. Shemul, she must have known that Mr. Shemul is continuing his graduation in civil engineering in a private university in Bangladesh where he had to submit all of his academic certificates. It is to be mentioned here that Bangladesh Navy has returned all of his certificates when he left so that he might continue his study or can engaged in any govt. or non-govt service.
Reading this article I should not have the courage to say but I doubt, in another article Ms. Sunita Paul might say she has information that Mr. Shemul is studying civil engineering for constructing future militant´s infrastructure. None but true information in the article regarding Mr. Shemul is that Mr. Shemul is the webmaster of Mr. Faruk Khan´s current blog site. Seeing all other false information regarding Mr. Shemul, I really get confused how she can precede her writings depending on so poor and unreliable sources of information.
In the article Ms. Sunita Paul has stated all the issues so embarrassingly that any concerned person may think that her negative attitudes to Khan´s family and in someway to Bangladesh Awami League has encouraged her to produce this type of articles.
I want to have a request to Ms. Sunita Paul that young persons (like Mr. Shemul) who want to flourish their intellectuals through positive creativity and want to establish a ground in the world net for their bright future and thus for benefiting the nation, should be encouraged in the right way by the great and honourable intellectuals like you. Their unwilling wrong steps (if you find any) should be discouraged and guidelines for leading them to the right track should also be provided by you.
I kindly request Ms. Sunita Paul and other readers to treat this writing for conveying the right information to the readers. This writing should not be treated otherwise.
